Learning Points from lesson 1

I learnt quite a few things in lesson 1. At the start I did not know that the net was started in 1969 and only had 4 host nodes compared to the over 200 million this year. I also learnt that URL stands for universal resource locator. The powerpoint slides are very intereseting with a lot of pictures. I also was shocked that we got a change in teacher. I hope Mr Cheong 's teaching can be better than Mr Koh's as I did not understand a single thing about C++ even now.
I also did not knew that was actually so much search engines other than yahoo and google. But the made a mistake in the slides not to put China's biggest search engine, Baidu on the list. Actually both of China's biggest search engines souhu and baidu were not included. For a chinese, this is unacceptable. There is so many plugins required mentioned that I began to download everything onto my laptop and making it so slow. But I won't get frustrated again and again for reminders of downloading.
In conclusion, I think that the internet is a useful tool in our daily lives and we can't live without it, but for the good purposes.

Introduction

My name is Yu Wei Ran from 1A3 in Hwa Chong Institution and I am 12???13??? years old. Well, I think that my favourite subject might be anything but infocomm studies (especially C++) !!!! I enjoy watching Formula One Racing and I support Vitantanio Liuzzi from Force India with a weird car name of VJM3 (Courtesy of Mr Vijay Mallya, the boss). I seriously hate Michael Schumacher, Sebestian Vettel and Jenson Button as they are a threat to Ferrari (Lewis is definately out of it) . Besides F1, I also like to play football and badminton with my friends.
My favourite food is chicken rice but the chicken rice sold at the canteen taste weird. I also like to eat sushi and drink lime juice (with sugar). There is a particular set of meal that I like to eat when I am in a McDonalds outlet:Double cheeseburger.
I do not have that many IT experiences but I did when to the SST DSA trials and got in, even though I realised that I lacked potential in IT as I did not understand a single thing about C++ that Mr Koh was talking. I hope that would not be the case when I start to learn Web New Media. I always wanted to be a F1 technician but I realised that I did not understood anything when I looked at the data of my Mclaren car in my rfactor game after the race.
